I don't want to generalise... but in my village and in nearby villages... I have not seen a single death due to bad crop or bank loan... i have seen 20/25 cases of suicide and heart attacks getting termed as death after looking at bad crops or because of notices for loan recovery...

You might not know that most of the state governments provide financial assistance to the families in such cases... 15/20 thousands are enough for SARKARI BABU to finalise the report while sitting in his office...

Just start compensation for farmer suicide in Pakistan and see how you bread baskets will start hanging on trees...

We have bought 15 bigha farm land from a similar farmer... from 55 bigha in 2007 today he just have 8 bigha left... and it include his land on main road which could easyly fetch 35/40 lakh per bigha today...
