Are these coaches made in China?
Looks very much chinese refurbished coaches.
None the less, if this revives the railways, probably will add few percentage into GDP in long run.
Railways is generally considered one of the most economical mode of large passenger transportation.

Coaches, Rail rakes(freight as well) are made at Risalpur, Pak Loco factory in KPK, and at Railway Carriage Factory near Islamabad, Pakistan...Locomotives are all imported GE USA and Chinese.

I remember there where 175-200 coaches being imported for China, and another 75 or so where supposed to be produced in Pakistan.

Also in 2017 arround 250 coaches where suppose to be imported.

If pakistan is producing the coaches, then its good, it will give needfull support to steel industry too.

Excellent News. Good job Shaikh Rasheed. But please make strong laws and impose heavy fines on passengers who damage the train. For example, writing on the walls, tearing the seat leader, stealing the lights.. have frequent inspections..

I traveled in Green line Business Class month back... It was such a nice environment everything was perfect... Good food, blanket, pillows, AC, lights and clean washroom they also give toothbrush, comb, tissue, water bottle and Tea. Train also arrived and departed on time. It was great experience.
