LAHORE – Pakistan’s Balochistan province is on the verge of huge gas reserves discovery, Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal has said.

Kamal said a huge reservoir of gas is expected in Kohlu area of Balochistan . He said government is preparing a consortium on gas and it would be a great asset.
While taking to private TV Channel Dunya News he further said CCTV cameras are being installed in Quetta and the safe city project would be completed in next 4 to 5 months.

He said the situation of law and order is better in Balochistan now, adding that in 2008 Rs 2 billion were spent on machinery with no results.

We are being ruled by the "chutiyas". It is never a huge discovery unless it is discovered. The pressure built up underground can be oil, gas or it can be water. You never brag about these things unless discovered. Other wise it is nothing but stock manipulation and is against the law of the land.

Kohlu 3D surveys showed high presence of hydro carbons...but law and order situation meant no exploration..
it is actually one of the high possible zones

There have been multiple confirmed sites of smaller scales this year
I dont know why pepole become doubters after few failed tries?

Not this truck ki batti again.... :hitwall:

why we always look for shortcuts as a nation? There is no substitute for hardwork and building up our economy on the sure footing of manufacturing and services, rather than natural resources.

A participant said preliminary estimates put Kohlu’s natural gas reserves at more than 22 trillion cubic feet (tcf) – almost equal to the country’s total proven reserves at present. More than 15.4tcf reserves are described as ‘recoverable’, he said.

Huge if confirmed.

Sir Chakwal survey back in 80s also showed that and in the end it was water that came out at high pressure

Honestly it will help save some $ for Pakistan and big source of income for Balochistan for few decades. But problem is announcing them well before anything is discovered.
