What's new

Pakistan officially applies for BRICS in 2024

Yes make it a cope chamber with China, Pakistan and Russia in it. Please push India further into arms of the West, brilliant strategy lol. India is passive on the whole anti China thing and QUAD right now due to diplomacy and trade still being open and free between India and China.
India has signed treaties with the USA. India is now a defacto USA territory.

You crazy? We have the most corrupt politicians and our economy is in shambles. The fact that we were permitted to join BRICS as a founding member is a joke in itself :D
BRICS was coined and thus "founded" by a Goldman Sachs analyst.

In reality BRICS is as real as the International Curling Alliance.

Waste of time tbh. Nothing but just another series of opportunities for the useless, corrupt bureaucrats to go on diplomatic visits paid for by the public.
Then India should be kicked out of SCO.

India should not be in something as prestigious as SCO.

Lol. What can Pakistan possibly offer if it were to join BRICS? Nothing.

Now let's move along; if it was to join, it's just like the big guys making the little clown feel good.

And what can India offer SCO? Especially when India is an enemy of China.

Pakistan has 250 million people. Thats a huge human resources pool.

And an economy of $400 billion Nominal GDP.

India offers market access, more technically trained manpower, and a functioning industrial and pharmaceutical base. Pakistan has neither, to be honest. If it has a good manpower base, it's useless as it doesn't have quality. Popping kids is all Pakistan is good at, and it's a burden.

Pakistan, I have stated before, is a dead horse China is carrying around; had it not been for India, they would've tossed this friend into the deep ocean long ago.

As for SCO, it is not an effective block to counter the West as it has inconsistency in terms of policies among member states and it has become an issue and remains so down the road.

Lol I am starting to doubt if you are Pakistani.

India has a massive population compared to Pakistans.

Anyways Pakistan can still offer many things.

MOSCOW: Pakistan has filed an application to join the BRICS group of nations in 2024 and is counting on Russia’s assistance during the membership process, Pakistan’s newly-appointed Ambassador to Russia Muhammad Khalid Jamali has told the Russian media.

In an interview with TASS, Jamali said the Pakistan plans to join the group next year, under Russia’s presidency and added that Islamabad was in contact with member countries for support of the country’s membership but counted on Russia’s assistance.

"Pakistan would like to be part of this important organisation and we are in process of contacting member countries for extending support to Pakistan’s membership in general and Russian Federation in particular," Jamali said.
When asked whether Islamabad has filed its BRICS membership bid, Ambassador Khalid Jamali replied that Pakistan had already applied. While responding to another question, the Pakistani diplomat confirmed that Islamabad planned to join the group next year.

Formed in 2010, BRICS is made up of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa – all major emerging economies looking for a greater say in a global order long dominated by the United States and its Western allies.

At the 15th BRICS Summit in August this year, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates had been invited to join the organisation, with their full membership scheduled to take effect on January 1 2024.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said last month that BRICS planned to agree on a list of candidates for partner-state status ahead of the upcoming summit in Kazan. He added that during the Russian chairmanship, special attention would be paid to expanding the "circle of BRICS friends".

There should be one condition , application for loans will not be entertained .

You are free to doubt but don't doubt just because my opinion is critical of Pakistan at times, especially in the economic arena and I have very close relations with the business community in the States and Pakistan, so I get first-hand news and info and make my decisions based on that.

As I said indian has a far bigger industrial and pharmaceutical base which the US and China will protect. There are certain aspects of the Indian economy that both the US and China are invested in and some together even.

Besides, unskilled manpower and garment factories (not functioning) and the IT industry screwed by the military cutting of net and cell connections and forced overseas firms to now find stable countries, what does Pakistan offer?

Yeah but there is a difference between constructive criticism and flat out degrading of Pakistan.

stop behaving like a child, just because someone is critical of Pakistan and its system, and show's the mirror doesn't mean they are Indian, Pakistan has shit ton of problems and instead of fixing them all we did was blame America, Aliens, India, Thanos , Dajjal... no wonder Pakistan has turned into a failed state.

Yes I believe in constructive criticism but not insulting.

since Indonesia withdrawal, we are worried with western diplomats, why we losing our brics partners one by one :what:
we hope Pakistan may stand by with time, while we have troubling news from all the partners except main 3, the China, India and Russia....

Main reason for joining of Pakistan of this camp seems due to "China".

But any thing can be expected from hafiz ji.
usay khud nahi pata wo kia ker raha hai.
