a) Search and rescue at sea
b) Control Smuggling
c) Be a fire extinguisher Ship in case a Trade ship catches fire

we ordered 2 x 1500 tons and 4 x 600 tons

1 x 1500 ton at KESW and 1 x 600 ton at KESW

The arrival of more ships for Coast guard has enhanced our search and rescue mission at sea and also fight smuggling via sea route

For basic patrol work it makes sense to have these coastal area ships for short missions at sea

But would be nice to see few more 1500 Ton Ships added in our Coast guard units

Presently I don't see these ships being modified for Anti Ship operations as we will likely get Navy Ships for that reason

If I am not wrong Coast Guard is a separate branch of the military that operates under Pakistan Army. Not sure why we need a coast guard AND an maritime security agency.

even Chinas 12,000 ton cutter doesnt carry them, only a 76mm cannon and its worlds largest coast guard ship

On trade route accidents do happen so support / rescue ships are needed
The gap in support structure in Navy was needed

PMSA, is on the right track funny how you people like to think and dream star wars all the time, you want missiles and heavy guns on coast guard patrol ships wake up this is as good as it gets and in-fact its great effort in the process always be thankful and never stingy.
