Imran, are you sure that this is about education? I am pointing to the fact that such things happen in an enabling atmosphere - it's true that in countries where such things don't happen, they spend a lot more money on education, but the societal attitudes in those countries are also different - in those countries, the armies of those countries do not glorify religious war, they do not teach history from a particular religious point of view? the currency of conversation and inquiry is science and logic, not religious history.

So I really don't think this has anything to do with education - this kind of thing could not take place elsewhere, and can take place in Pakistan, because society is ready for it - society accepts it - But know that they are getting a taste of what they approved others to get (India and Afghanistan), maybe they will have cause to think things over

You didn’t clear what kind of education you are referring because until you will not bring Madrsa education into strict hand. Religious educational system has to be designed not under influence of Saudi Arabia or Iran but for our own national interests in order to eradicate Madrasa from typical foreign imported literature.
UAE enough played role in Balochistan and Saudi Arabia too in FATA, so what kind of help the want more where we don’t know what planning and conditions will be put from their sides?

All development in FATA should without religious propaganda and here government educational bodies can play role. Future depends on how government will tackle with educational system to promote nationalism out of religious reproductive ideaology. Very sensitive issue indeed.

Neutral comment, but had Pakistan economy being able to sustain the pressure and better revenue and tax collection, today we could have been spending the money in the right direction in FATA without worrying where the money would actually be spent.

"Pakistan has decided to add Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the list of allies from whom it will seek funding for development projects in the tribal areas as well as money to help with the repatriation of internally displaced persons".

^Solves the problem, we do know Saudis and U.A.E past funding programs but if there is a working commission/ground to be established that will over look and the spending would be transparent then it would be a reasonable move, however Pakistan still has to be cautious.

The story is true. But the difference here is that, those Iranian kids were volunteers and were fighting for their country against invasion by Saddam supported by US. There is no comparison here. The kids in Pakistan are being brain washed to fight against their own country of birth. Iranians were fighting at the front combating Iraqi tanks and chemical weapons. There were not fighting their own army and blowing up themselves in markets and social gatherings.
