you are down playing the obvious reason for the suicide attack by giving it a religious twist. You missed the critical point, how Adil Ahmad Dhar was radicalized after beating by the the Indian troops. Those killed were armed personnel, hence it was a military operation, whatever means (guerrilla warfare, suicide bombing etc) used justifies the end (destruction of enemy forces).

Jihad (righteous war waged as a religious duty) gets support in Hindu scriptures too
