Pakistan denies Indian president's request to use its airspace for overflight

Is the airspace banned for India or not. If not then how they need permission

It's one thing to ban Indian airlines from transiting Pakistani airspace, but a whole another if non-Indian airlines are banned. I assure you that the airlines, and the countries that are based, will not too kindly to such a move. Wouldn't surprise me if they put restrictions on Pakistani airlines in retaliation.
