Pakistan deadliest country for journalists: Report

How the hell govt cant control these BLA & TTP terrorists. I dont think they are more than 15 20 thousands. A crack down will do. It was may be not our war, but now it has become our war & we must win this war at all costs.

Are you a Journalist Jana have u ever had to sign a waiver form out of interest?

Well never had signed. Its not a common trend in Pakistan.

commonly if we have to go to operation areas in FATA or militancy hit areas along with Army as embedded journalist our details are on the list of media persons and all details, time and so on so its kinda track record itself.

Though in case of any attack no guarantee from anyone

obviously they give them the permission and they go by there own risk, but when they die, Pakistan becomes the most deadliest country for journalists,

If they go by there on risk then they shouldn't be counted in this report

But thats with all Journalists be it Pakistan, Iraq or Africa there is a degree of risk if u go to places where there is fighting the report is the deadliest country for journalists in other words where have most died and in this case it points out Pakistan I would have thought places like Mexico might have been worse though.

Well put Frankestein... I was actually surprised to see this report on Dawn of all places. We should be appreciative of the risks undertaken by the journos to get us the news we all rely on.

I am afraid YES. in Afghanistan most of the journalists currently are attached to one or other western media outlet or NGOs or such arrangement. often majority are suppose to toe their line so mainly opinion

Many areas are Taliban dominated so they hardly will go there besides there are some good security and monitoring apparatus put by the western, American private organisations wherein its easy to track the journalists in case of missing.

Many indeed there too are in red zones carry life risks while covering and its also one of the difficult to work there in media

i dont wana go off topic, but i doubt that the bolded part will be correct. on the other hand, journalists in AFghanistan have had a really tough time and they have paid the price with their blood.

Perhaps because the lady I saw was a foreign journalist so the waiver would have been more important for the Pakistani military to get signed so they are not liable.

Explorer | Talibanistan | National Geographic Channel

National Geographic Explorer was in Pakistan and Afghanistan during these explosive days documenting the fight on the ground and in the skies above this territory controlled by the Taliban, known as "Talibanistan." Explorer asks the question: who is winning this war and is this Obamas Vietnam or will he be the first to pacify Afghanistan?

I am convinced that Bhartis get paid for starting anti Pakistan threads. Or maybe there just madly obsessed with us.
