Terming the engagement with Pakistan a commitment to shared geography, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday urged the neighbour to do more to tackle terrorism. "Engagement is a commitment to our shared geography. They (Pakistan) have not done enough on terror. I still feel they need to do more," Singh said during an interaction with a group of editors here.

Singh also said the withdrawal of the US forces from Afghanistan can hurt India and expressed concern over the possibility of terror outfits like Haqqani group figuring in the Taliban reconciliation process.

"I told the Afghan Parliament that the reconciliation should be Afghan-led. I think President Karzai and other politicians can work on that. You cannot carry the good-bad Taliban distinction much too far. But the Haqqani group — they are a more determined group — perhaps not in league with the Pakistani establishment — I don't know — but we are worried about them," Singh said.

Commenting on the situation in Kashmir, Singh hoped that Pakistan "will leave Kashmir alone," because "they have their own share of internal problems."

"Tourists are returning. We have to keep our fingers crossed", Singh said. When asked about India's preparedness in the light of Chinese capabilities, Singh said, "We've have started the process. We are looking at the modernisation of our armed forces, including the navy and the air force. Within the limits of our resources, we are working on much advanced air fields in the border areas. We are trying to strengthen the border roads.”

Who care about jabbering of hidustaan times.

Pakistan suffers more from the war in terror than India, UK or any other western country but India as usual will undermined the sacrifice made by Pakistan in the fight against terrorism. India will never understand how much we have suffered because of suicide bombers, bomb blasts, remote bombs and its hard for them to see that thousands innocent lives have been lost, schools have been destroyed, leaders have been killed, soldiers have been martyred, million peoples have been dislocated from their native lands due to this fighting between army and terrorists and were living in tents without basic needs but we have Hindustan times claiming Pakistan has not done enough

Manmohan Singh doesn't know what he is talking about.

Pakistan has suffered more casualties from the war on terrorism, than any other country in the entire world.

And? What makes you think ManMohan is wrong? Because Pakistan is reaping what it sowed? Even today the simple fact is that Pakistan has no problem with terrorists as long as they are termed "freedom fighters" and cause havoc in other nations.
