PAF needs to buy 100 of the Block IIIs and not 50 over a much shorter procurement window. A one off stepwise uplift to add the additonal capacity to her fleet. Problems with India are only going to increase. Not decrease, and 250 off BVR JF17s with 80 odd F16s will make for a lot of brown dhotis.

Look. I had always projected a figure of 250-300 jf-17s; what I do see happening is a Block IV coming down the lines; there will be teething problems with block 3 which will be ironed out and lessons learned for the next iteration on what can be done better. It is a tested and tried kaizen philosophy; you dont make drastic changes but small and incremental changes. Again jf-17 is not even 1/3 of the way into a product lifecycle; there is a long road ahead.

I don't understand we have in-house production of the Thunders (well atleast 60% of it), why don't we rapidly ramp up its production and aim for around 350-400 Thunders instead of 188. Situation with India is only going to get worse in the coming years, the Thunders is a quality jet but it would become even more potent if we have it in large quality running CAP missions if God forbid situation deteriorates. Make sure that even a toy plane cannot take off in India without a Thunder tracking its position.

The issue over here is that the BLK3 is to go thru integration and will not be fully integrated for a few years---. Even though you may have numbers---but the aircraft and the pilots may not be fully capable for awhile---.

I am pretty sure that you would understand the term " INTEGRATION "---.

It took members on this forum about 5---8 years to understand what the term integration meant---.

So---the best bet for the Paf is to get the J10CE's---.

Friend, as @MastanKhan said - key point is complete integration; with multiple changes taking place; this is not like a small Corolla of 90s that you can ramp up production. There is a complete maintenance cycle associated to it; training on the new integrated platform and I can go on and on. You need pilots next to undergo simulator training for block 3 - not sure if that is even available; weapon platform vetting, ECM, radio, HMD, HMS etc etc etc.

If you had insulted them when you were strong---and now that you are weak---the russians have a thing agaisnt it---. They have issues with their peripheral vision---.

Now for the chinese---they care less if you are weak or you are strong---or if you insulted them when you were strong and now that you are weak and need their help---.

The chinese have a tendency that they look beyond you strengths and weaknesses and are more goal oriented---over a long period of time---.

Americans---they like the mongoose who is rearing to kill the cobra---. They love the under dog who can look them in the eye and tell them they are the god & this world would not be the same without them.

@MK we should have Atleast two Sqd of JF17 with EU Avionics and missles would be great compliment for F16
