The rest is none of our concern. Simply, because they betrayed the Idea of Pakistan and chose to oppose it.
No. They didn't. In 1945-46 elections, which formed the basis of Pakistan, a large majority of the Muslims, living in the present day India, voted for All India Muslim League, thus fully supporting the idea of Pakistan; though knowing well that they would not be able to live in that country. That is, in its own right, a height of sacrifice.
We are, of course, in no condition to help the Muslims of India, and that is altogether a different matter; but your comment has pained me. We must accept this plane fact that Pakistan came into being owing to the joint political efforts of the Muslims of the whole of the India, at that time. Those Muslims, who opposed this idea, were a small minority.
I, for my freedom in Pakistan, am and would remain ever indebted to the ancestors of the present day Muslims of India.
