That will encourage him to fail. The best way to deal with this kind of situation is to teach him to put his best without worrying about the result or outcome. This is what lord Krishna told Arjun. Do your duty without thinking about the result. Focus on your act.

You have not answered my 2 basic questions on socialism for the last 2-3 months. Maybe because you don't have any rational non rhetorical convincing answers.

Regarding your question I have said many times before that though suicide is a sad thing but I have no sympathy for anyone commiting suicide. Whether it is a farmer or a student or anyone else suicide is NOT the answer to your problem.

A farmer must know that farming is a business and you have to take risks. Sometimes you may suffer a loss like in any other business. The govt has many safety nets for farmers including insurance schemes, tax free income, subsidized loans, free water and electricity, subsidized inputs etc. Apart from this they can take advantage of soil health cards, e-Nam market place etc. One thing I don't agree is with loan waivers because it disincentives honest farmers. I don't think that govt should give more incentive to just one particular sector. The simple solution to farmer suicide is GET AWAY FROM FARMING commercially unviable land holding.

Similarly student suicide is foolish. Loosing an year will have no long term consequences . I myself have repeated an year in engineering. I have also been jobless for months but never thought of commiting suicide.
