Operational LCA still years away

Indian Pulser has DTSI is it better than J-10B with DSI.
God Damn Right !!

No DSI, no AESA, does not qualify as 4.5 gen in my books. J-10B has DSI and AESA and qualifies as 4.5 gen in my books. BTW, J-10B already has a squadron operational. Tejas will have to wait until 2018 at the earliest IMO.
Then in your book Tornado, Gripen, F-16 all are sub 4th gen aircraft !!!

I don't think 2017-18 for the first squadron is "years away". It is just 2 years away. If they have put up the infrastructure for assembly, then we need not worry.

Once production flow started no wonder if we increase the numbers to double. As we will have more confident on Tejas and we need time to breathe till AMCA or LCA 2 rolls in. Let's see

But I really wonder what is IAF problem. They ask of certain capabilities. Once Tejas near it's goal they want more advanced configuration. And we ended up here without induction. China might had inducted Tejas and produced in mass numbers in its previous configuration then might had upgraded . We need to learn from Chinese to help our own weapon platform. We can upgrade later one by one. That's the problem with Jf 17. Yet they have some 40 new jets flying . Hopefully will be upgraded .

Please go through Indigenous Content in MKI Its Shows your Knowledge About Production Process of Industries. As for Assembling JF-17 is Product of Chendgu Aviation So PAC is Even Poor In What you call "Assembling":pleasantry:

yeah i have learned and read this a lot of time , i dont have to read it again ... everything that " Assembled " in India is automatically Indigenous :D keep enjoying that
