in my uneducated mind, could have been better to just say, " F-16 and JF-17 Thunder in air to air , while thunder and mirages in strike."

Its not still a claim. Its on the grounds of a friggin airbase now! We have radar data too but that will also never satisfy you. Maybe the Radio Talk from call sign "Avenger" may suffice hopefully for our AVM saab!

No I am quite happy that they mentioned the squadron and even the call sign. Is it possible that PAF was even listening to the radio chatter between su-30 pilots?

it is mentioned both ways, and I do not think JF 17 Thunders are built differently for two roles, its just the mission config.

what you are saying if we consider that, then statement should have been something like.........JF-17 and Thunders on their respective missions.

It's a speculation like alot of people speculate. There was a reason indians were crying about F-16s violating their airspace. It is possible that the F-16s were inside azad kashmir but it's more than likely that they crossed LOC
