What's new

Only 36 Rafale fighters, 126 Rafale is GAME OVER!

Good to hear !! how much did Pak and China send to modernize their Airforce, atleast Pak has spend lots of sleepless nights
Hi,
By that stupid analogy it means India will now be faced ever more pain given the amount of Modernization taking place at both ends,

Pain is more hurtful than sleepless nights

that was just time pass and confuse china-pak. original plan was 36 :p:
Thousands of posts made by Indian members about tall claims has just gone down the drain.

Thankfully Pakistan didn't panic about the Rafale deal and stick to its original plan.

Well Indians had sleepless nights to boast about their deal with France. The truth is, you couldn't afford to buy 126 aircrafts. You guys wasted so much time and resources of other nations in MRCA competition. I doubt if they would take you so serious the next time you will go to ask them for another competition of exaggerated number of aircrafts.

Pakistan on the other hand did not bother to buy a single jet to counter the threat of Rafale. They have stuck to decade old plan of procuring 150 JF-17s and focusing on self reliance.

We Indians unfortunately do tend to brag so much that ultimately we end up looking foolish case in point rafale deal.

But all said and done an excellent decision by our DM keeping in mind the ground realities. No use making castles in air.

This will also prove a much needed impetus to the train-wreck of our Tejas Project and hopefully now one day we would get to see it being inducted in IAF. If Rafale deal for full 126 aircrafts would have gone through it was bye bye for Tejas and any indigenous projects of IAF for a long long time
