The problem of soldiers is that their training is either 2 days or 2 weeks, they're untrained, blame commanders.

There were Shias, Sunnis and Kurds... each care about their own territory... and this American officer is talking big like he knows aboutthe regions demographics. He still says "Your country, you fellow Iraqi....." those concepts ceased to exist.... They will each fight for their own regions.. Like, don't expect a Kurd to give his life for Shia territory or vice versa....

He still says "Your country, you fellow Iraqi....." those concepts ceased to exist.... They will each fight for their own regions.. Like, don't expect a Kurd to give his life for Shia territory or vice versa....

For Kurds that is true, they're a different people they're Iranian by culture and ethnicity, they're neither considered Iraqi, Syrian nor Turk.

For Sunni and Shi'a Iraqis not, it's the political system installed by the Americans that causes these problems. The president must be a Kurd, prime minister Shi'a and head of parliament Sunni, that lays the basis for Islamist parties to compete, how will a secular find it's ways through those 2 sects they won't believe him.

That together with Islamist parties instead of secular parties working together causes all the problems and neighbors intervening in this 'democracy'. If there was general hatred between the 2 sects in Iraq there would be a full blown civil war going on, instead it's ISIS terrorizing everyone, sure there are tensions and disagreements after 1979 and 2003 but both have the same vision except for Islamists of both Sunni and Shi'a whom are a minority.

The tribes in Anbar always speak about honor but I don't see any, they are true dollar worshippers. Worked for American invaders when they paid them, work for Maliki when he pays them, swear allegiance to ISIS to save their life's when there is no other force around. That seen by the tribes in Deir al Zor as well now that ISIS gained upper hand, the tribes swore allegiance to them.

However I say let them have that imaginary honor and 'bravery'.
