GURGAON: A National Security Guard ( NSG) commando died of exhaustion during a rigorous exercise at the elite forces garrison here.
Ratan Lal (34), a junior commissioned officer, who had recently joined the National Security Guard on deputation from the 6 PARA (Special Forces) of the Army, was undertaking a battle induction exercise when he collapsed. Lal was rushed to local hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
He probably would have suffered a cardiac arrest, said one of his colleagues. The postmortem report is still awaited.
Lal, a resident of Ajmer in Rajasthan, was supposed to join the special action group ( SAG) of the elite black cat force which undertakes anti-terror and counter-hijack operations.
NSG man dies of exhaustion - Times Of India
Tragic, absolutely tragic, especially for such a young aspiring SF operator.
You'd think as an SF operator he'd be used to a hard workout though? Probably due to a number of factor-heat stroke, dehydration etc.
RIP brave sir.
