Not fit to print: Hindus take to the streets over defamatory article in Pakistan

Kurukshetra is ithasa.

Greek sources too.

He is referred as "Herkalece" in megesthans's Indica (Greeks gave hellenic names to most of foreign heroes) . Though that source is said to be based on hearsay.

The thing is that most of facts stated in mythology are true though highly exaggerated. It was the way history was written in older time.In this time, a war between 7000 greeks and 100-200,000 Persians become a war of 300 Spartans and 2 million Persians in Herodotus's account of war. This does not mean that Battle of Thermopylae did not take place.

Similarly, sites of Trojan war have been recently discovered in Asia minor.

Even today most of mythical novels are based on real life events. Game of thrones is based on war of roses that took place in England with other events from British history added to it (Red wedding is based on Black dinner and Glencoe massacre).

The parallels are even more stark in lord of the rings , especially if you read simmilarion with LOTR and the hobbit. It describe christian muslim war for most of the part. Here Allah is melkor, mohommad is sauron,Orcs are muslims, minas tirith is constantinople,Siege of rohan describe second siege of vienna which was broken by cavalry charge of Jan spralosky III. Even geography of Mordor is same as that of Turkey.

And if you read simmilarion, you would find that Orcs initially were elves who were way from path of light by melkor ( an allegory of Islam converting Christians.

Let me realistic then about Abrahamic faiths.

Those guys who accuse Hindu GODS as false beliefs should know that.

There is no evidence that Abraham existed, there is no proof of David or Solomon existence.

And the main event called "Exodus" migration of Israelites from Egypt to promised lands also do not have any proof. Which also implies that Moses do not exist.

So the faiths that are based on the teachings of Abraham and other prophets which include some prominent personalities like David, Solomon and Moses will also become false.

The teachings that originate from Hebrew Bible (Torah) originated from the wisdom of Jews who were held captives in Babylonia in 5th-6th century B.C.

It is then those books are compiled by adding stories and wisdom of them, Christians and Muslims copied those teachings.

Which also brings to the conclusion that except the concept that "There is one GOD and one Book" Abrahamic faiths do not differ from any of the pagan religions we find.

I would rather follow a liberal, tolerant and flexible religion that a conservative one which instigates hatred and bloodshed.

Regarding animal and nature worship I support that, Hindus also take care of the nature and beings that are created by GOD. It is some kind of respect.

Tell me what you do when someone die i mean don't you cremate body and what is used as a FUEL to cremate those bodies and also please tell me what you do after the bodies are cremated and what happen to the ashes of the cremated bodies .....

You burn the bodies ----- destroying nature
Fuel used ------ Wood So simply put you destroy more nature
Ashes ----- you simply scatter ashes in ganga ---- mean more pulluting ganga and nature

So get off your high horse and smell your ashes

Burning dead bodies has to do with killing the germs/bacteria associated with the dead body.

Regarding bodies in Ganga, it has more to do with the tradition of feeding the fish and other aquatic animals in there.
