on topic: I was also shocked when the bomb blast news was given less coverage...it is absolutely unfair...

There are many bombings inside India that don't get coverage. These just happened in the last few (3-4) days:

Maoists blow up coffee go down in Andhra Pradesh

Maoists blow up telecom tower in Bihar

Soldier succumbs to injury in J&K by landmine

Bomb explosion in Manipur

Two injured in mine explosions in J&K

Bomb explodes in ADC office in Ukhrul District of Manipur

ULFA-ATF blasts Grenade in Assam

Maoists blow up house in Bihar, kill one

How many of these bomb blasts have been reported in the mainstream media?

Being from northeast India myself (Sikkim), I would endorse that. The north Indians only care about themselves and don't bother about other people in the country. This is especially applicable for the ruling governments that don't comprise of a single northeasterner in the national governance role. Pathetic.

Well as far as I know except for some major incidents events in my state (Kerala) are also not covered by national media based in New Delhi and frankly we don't care a damn, there are enough local channels that cover everything from minister's cold to the new fashion trend to hit the town.

who say's media hasn't reported imphal incident, i have watched it on many news channel. i know it is not getting much coverage but it is also not been neglected.
