I support the system in its whole.
Depends where you met those Iranians, Mostly Iranians outside of Iran are anti IR. Inside the country is a different story

Not justice.
Justice is special in Iran... let me summarize : chief of justice is named by Khamenei and there is as well a minister of Justice. But he is the only minister who cannot be named or changed by the president. Justice is in total hands of the leader.

ayatollah is religious person. it is not meaning someone in power .
of course some people in power are ayatollahs but it is not working the other way.

for exemple take Montazeri, the grand ayatollah, he was a theoricist of the Islamic Republic
but after time he got to criticize it (indeed especially the "leader " who is controlling everything)

because the problem, the main problem, IS that there is someone who can do whatever he wants
even ask to kill the protesters

don't know statistics about people outside Iran . What i know is more Iran.
In Iran people want more individual freedom. that is for sure.

He said that Khomeiny said him (without proof) that he wanted Khamenei to be the leader so Khamenei was cheating everyone in the khobregan with the help of Rafsandjani.
Then Khobregan elects the leader but since he came to the khobregan as the choosen one nobody could say anything against.

you just need an effective Khobregan and tenure must be for 5-6 years maximum. Rest the powers should reside with President and Parliament for most of the time.
