New Delhi Finally Submits To Kayani, Pasha

^^^
We should have done this before....there's no point talking those powerless people in Islamabad....

That would be the most idiotic thing to do. India, as the largest democracy, would be effectively undermining a fledgling democracy taking root, yet again, in Pakistan by talking to and legitimizing another power center. That is inexcusable.

talk from indian side will be done by civilian leaders only. no and never involvement of military. no one even the indian military will not agree with this. military is only for defence of the nation not the job of govt.
Military to military contacts help each party to understand the other side and helps to avoid untoward instances resulting in little skirmishes. These contacts are as important as diplomatic contacts at various levels.

Who is trying to open the communication channels here? first moves should come from India, and Pakistan will reciprocate accordingly.

Who is trying to open the communication channels here?

So, pakistan is not interested in peace?

Pakistan will reciprocate accordingly

That was my question in the first place. How will Pakistan reciprocate?

Peace is not a one way street. Both the parties should concede to make peace amicable.

Let me bust your "myth" . The army is currently not gone Musharraf way simply because they know that once they do it, they won't get the money from the US. Money is what is keeping the PA rolling. You cut the source, and you see a cut in the army budget and they won't allow to do that.

If you feel that the army thinks that the drone attacks are a violation of sovereignty, you are wrong since all targets are approved by the army before the US drones can carry out their missions.

And let me burst your myth again. Pakistan is an active member on the US's WOT, the Army is being shored up by US money for playing a huge part in it. You do realize that the US has imposed sanctions on Pakistan before when Pakistan conducted their nuclear tests, right? It's a myth that Pakistan cannot survive without US money, or the Army needs US money to shore up the military. It is just taking certain 'benefits' from the US for being an active member in the WOT, & that's fine.

Of course, the drone targets are approved by the Army. But if the civilian government approves of conducting drone strikes inside Pakistan, there is no reason for the Pakistan Army to say 'no' to that. If the civilian government says no, then it's a whole different ball game.
