NAL Hansa as Ab Initio or Basic trainer for IAF?

since IAF selection process for basic trainer has been halted due to allegations of unfair trials by KAI i found that NAL has already produced a basic trainer the Hansa

why not IAF pick this as basic trainer instead of going to foreign firm? please discuss

i think its because IAF does not want to use indigenous equipment because with foreign vendors the brass doesn't get any kickbacks this is the same case with the army only the navy is keen on buying indigenous weaponry and equipment

This bird is in use with many flying clubs around the country doing good but NAL wont pay kick back so its just crap for our forces

exactly its quite a shame that the armed forces do not even give indigenous technology a chance
