**Bags full of sand were present and actual wheat was missing and sold in markets
SUKKUR (Dunya News) - A team of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Sukkur conducted raids on wheat godowns in Kandhkot and Kashmor in Sindh province on Friday and found that wheat worth Rs 1.20 billion missing from these godowns, Dunya News reported.
A spokesman of NAB said in a statement said that the mud filled bags were placed in the wheat godowns to conceal the stealing of wheat from the godowns.
The NAB team has started inquiry against provincial food department officials aiming to fix the responsibility of replacing wheat bags with mud filled bags and subsequently selling the wheat in the open market. The responsible would be punished, besides recovering the looted Rs 1.20 billion and depositing the same in the national exchequer.
