yeah invest but have no say or sort out our problems.

I hope IK puts into law that the diaspora should vote in elections but its a double edged sword the diaspora thinks different than the ones on Pakistan so if Pakistan ever rises up this could cause conflict example is with the Turks, most Turks dont like Erdogan but the Turks living abroad in Germany and Belgium love Erdogan a lot so their votes get mixed up anyways

I know a lot of people would invest in Pakistan esp in property but the corruption makes it difficult to trust people esp when undertaking construction and having to reply on people to be honest. We are so used to professionalism and indemnity, that if a the property is not to standard a claim can be made and resolved swiftly. Also, there are so many strong arm tactics used for land grabbing etc and again the courts can take years to hear a case and justice never delivered. In business it is the same, if a dispute arises, eg a client does not pay, getting payments can be very difficult unless you can demonstrate strong backing. So doing business in PK for a small investor is fraught with dangers and IK need to change this. Also Pakistani's need to stop seeing overseas Pakistani as a cash cow, just to milk and milk, because in their head Pakistani's overseas do not have to work or save because there are just money trees all over the place.

The problem is when you have the likes of Showbaaz as PAC chairman that itself raises huge question marks over transparency, A thief is under investigation for corrupt practices but at the same time the thief can grill NAB and FIA who are conducting investigations against Showbaaz.

Add to this the speaker who is asking Expat Pakistanis to invest keeps on giving production orders to thief Showbaaz which doesn't make any sense.

lol. Why should the diaspora invest in Pakistan when Pakistanis themselves rather invest in Nicaragua, Panama, Indonesia, Malaysia, Dubai, Jeddah, London, or Paris?

I don't know about rest of pak but Azad Kashmir is full of idiots who don't know what is going on. while Imran Khan needs investment and overseas paks want protection from corruption and something in return or stick with IMF loan which is halal as it is for Islamic republic of Pakistan.

This is the problem you have armchair diaspora folks who complain and dont do crap, and the moulvi diaspora who care only about "muh Rohingya" "muh Uighur" or "muh Syrians", as for Kashmiris I have met very few most people from the Pakistani community I have met are Pathans or Punjabis

If you want expats to invest in Pakistan then they will want to be near their investments to make sure everything is happening as it should and deal with affairs. Dirty streets and crime and lack of services is not attractive. Clean your streets and provide normal standard of services and expats will come with money.

All we have is people like retired troll throwing vitriol at expats and being held to ransom for their baggage as soon as they land in Pakistan.

oversea paks with roots to Azad Kashmir sides have invested way too much and given money to charity. What did they get in return harassment at the airport, no say in politics, no Mirpur airport, no industries, no factories, no jobs, no water/no electricity Mangla dam feeds other provinces, just bull sh it brotherhood. Islamabad airport is run by thieves that have no roots in Azad Kashmir. while locals are crying about no jobs and nepotism in every sector.
