I see a lot of 'religious' Muslims proudly claiming that their population growing faster than others is a success to Islam. It's not. As the population growth of Muslims increases at a phenomenal rate, so does their 'ghettoization' in Western countries. In poorer countries, the problem is worse than 'ghettoization' unfortunately. Poor countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh & India suffer particularly due to this high population growth from Muslims, & the problem reaches to the scale of malnutrition, hunger, poverty etc. Muslims can cry all they want about being 'victimized' by non-Muslims, they might be on some levels, but they are mostly responsible for their own horrid state with their insanely high population growth rates. And I just found this article:
Muslim population growth to be twice as fast as non-Muslims' - study | The Australian
To put it naively, "it's not about quantity, it's about quality". A lot of poor Muslims give birth to a lot of children, even when they know they won't be able to provide for them. It has to do with education, but also with the fact that some Muslims feel it is their religious duty to give birth to a lot of children, & think they are doing a service to Islam by doing this. That is the troubling part, & Muslims need to take a deep, hard look at themselves.
Muslim population growth to be twice as fast as non-Muslims' - study | The Australian
THE world's Muslim population will grow twice as fast as the non-Muslim population in the next 20 years, when Muslims are expected to make up more than a quarter of the global population, a study published Thursday predicts.
Using fertility, mortality and migration rates, researchers at the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life project a 1.5-percent annual population growth rate for the world's Muslims over the next two decades, and just 0.7 percent growth each year for non-Muslims.
The study, called "The Future of the Global Muslim Population," projects that in 2030 Muslims will make up 26.4 percent of the world's population, which is expected to total around 8.3 billion people by then.
