Correction: Only contagious Muslim-majority states/provinces were supposed to be made into a country - for the Muslims already existing in those areas. And even that partition wasn't fair. Many of the Muslim-majority districts in Punjab were left out, forcing the Muslim majority in those districts to flee and seek shelter in Pakistan. There is a reason why we care so much about Kashmir, but don't give two hoots about Indian Muslims - other than on humanitarian grounds.

India is still making multiple mistakes, trying to hold on to Kashmir and others who did not belong to India, cause disruption in Pakistan and inviting Pakistan to do same.
Having good relations with neighbours is a good idea. Paving way for war and trying to bully neighbours who are nuclear armed, only when hatred overcomes common sense is possible. India congratulations on electing Modi again
