SteveMREinfo channel is a great resource for this topic (MRE)...and also more general historic war rations too. Lot of comedy in there too (people often get concerned he will end up poisoning himself badly...some of the stuff he has summoned courage to eat), worth checking out!

we always keep a few MREs in the back of the Jeep when we go deer hunting this time of the year. It is convenient, and easy to get a hot meal even when the weather is bad with rain, sleet, snow etc. No need for a campfire and it's 3,000 calories!!

Beef patty mostly. These guys...but you can get all different kinds. Interestingly, none of them have an expiration date! LOL

Last year I used to do a light aftari and then bring some of the leftover to my room and eat it while watching one of the episodes.

Sourcing MREs is an expensive business according to him. He says he has spent thousands of dollars on MREs.

"Botulism is odorless"....just the way he says that cracks me up....coz it sounds weighted by experience lol.

Glad he wore a respirator opening that stuff hah.....you remember the MRE that had leaked a bit and fermented (probably anaerobic bacteria etc) and he literally started to dry heave (and cut short the recording)? Full gamut of experience this guy has lol.

K I found it (i laugh my *** off each time lol....yeah i know im sadistic that way lol):
