Those selected were taken to a hut where their flesh was cut from their bodies while they were alive and they were thrown into a ditch where they later died."

The Japanese empire of WW-2 is not the same as Japan today. So no point judging or basing our present relations with their past machinations.

That being said, I too am very happy that the Japanese were routed at Imphal and Kohima. I'll never buy the notion that supplanting one racist regime with another hyper-racist regime would be in India's best interests.

That would be netaji convening with and being in bed cannibal Japanese back then while gandhi had dandi march and non aligned movement and went to jails for protest regularly . Gandhi was no saint but was far better than netaji .

I wouldn't ever call Netaji a sellout. He was perhaps India's greatest patriot, one who took extraordinary risks to see India being rid of British imperialism. But his methods certainly weren't in India's best interests. A case of having the best of intentions, but taking a very dangerous route to realize them.
