PESHAWAR: A day after four US nationals were stopped from entering the provincial capital and sent back to Islamabad, six other US diplomats on Wednesday were barred from entering the city on the grounds that they did not have No-Objection Certificates (NOCs).

The US nationals were stopped at the Peshawar Motorway Interchange and were asked to return to Islamabad even after they showed US diplomatic passports to the security officials. The diplomats told the officials that they had been told by the US embassy an NOC was not required for entry into Peshawar. Pakistani officials, however, informed them that possession of diplomatic passports was not enough.

“No foreigner is allowed to enter Peshawar without prior permission from the authorities concerned and we have informed the US citizens to carry no-objection certificates (NOCs) while coming to Peshawar or else they won’t be allowed entry,” Khyber-Pakthukhwa’s Senior Minister Bashir Bilour told the media at Peshawar Press Club.

“Pakistan is a sovereign country and no foreigner is above the law,” he added.

In a statement, the United States embassy expressed concern over the matter, saying it was reviewing the issue and would soon take it up with the authorities concerned.

The six American nationals who were intercepted on Wednesday were identified as Chase Daniel Lee, Perez Michael John, Vaughan Jason Christopher, Denis Glass, Richard Shaw and William Cornell. (<<< not real names all of them)

Why many US employees bother come to Peshawar? What's secret business?

The US has made it a condition of that aid recipients must advertise the fact that they are aid recipients, an act that can potentially put the lives of those who did receive aid, in mortal danger - perhaps if US "diplomats" were to travel in vehicles that identify them as such, they may reconsider their condition, or they may just decide that all this "engagement" is just not worth it - a prospect that both Pakistan and US may find useful.

so finally blanket noc is given to all US diplomat.

A blanket NOC on paper terms but the anoymity of those diplomats have been blown and the intelligence has a target to keep an eye on.
Vastly different than a group of diplomats driving anoynomously into Peshawar untracked.

BTW, I am not sure exactly how 'restrictions on the movement of Pakistani diplomats in the US' would hinder Pakistan.

Largely an empty threat, but the media is enjoying playing it up.

Depending on the way they are placed, the restrictions could prevent Pakistani diplomats from interacting with their counterparts, for example at the UN. And that, under some conditions, could be hugely important.

Sir this is all drama.....we allow them in..
.hussain haqani ki kia oukat hai kai woh cia agents ko visay jari keri....we all know
who drives the van in Pakistan..
.
we give them visas...thier work should in embassy but they roam on streets making maps and transmitting info to usa in real time...then they kill our civilians in day light and our consience dosent wakes...why would it wake....we have children studying i foreign universities and kicksbacks, commissions and foreign trips due...

unfortunately there is this lobby which was very close to musharaf....they brought down sir zia ul haq and air chief sir Ali Mir's plane. and facilitated abbottabad raid..this lobby has this habit of getting in bed with americans and this started from the time of zafarullah the foreign minister...from that time they have penetrated..they ar very few in number but they do serve on very top posts and esecially during musarafs time...musharaf's wife had had very strong ties with this lobby...

.this lobby wanted Pakistan to recognise the israel and mushraf was on on the brink of recognising israel...now sir coming to the topic this is all drama....these people come in our country and kill our people in our land and we sit like gays....
our conscience is dead...morale of nation is all time low.

..no 6 sept celebrations and no 23 march parades...this is what musharaf has reduced our country too....but guess what in response they get blackened eye sockets.,stale face....people call them graceful...but believe me sir the are worse than monsters with dollars bills in the pockets and blood of fellow country men on hand....
.they eat and sleep the meat of their fellow country men....they allow nato to carry their fuel and ammo through Pakistan and in return bomb afghan weddigs and Pakistani peaceful jirga and kill our soldiers too andthen like gays we just protest...even a gay runs after molestor with a bag of insults...but dont even do that...what a shame...a price we pay for our habit of gettingin bed with amerians

We are trying to find solutions these days.. would you mind giving a plausible solution to all these problems? calling names is, as you said, gay's response.. so lets come up with solutions.. shall we? :)

Probably, but it might not be as severely effecting Pakistani mission as the restriction of unhindered activity of US diplomats in Pakistan would cause on theirs.. if you know what i mean ;)
