Do you what does it mean by workhorse?

IAF mainstay is SU 30 and will remain so, rafale even when it reaches FOC 5 years down the line will be premium not workhorse of IAF.

YES thats the fist 4 rafals arriving July

8 more in 2021

12 in 2022

12 more in 2023

Just 2 sqds for now BUT a follow up order of 36 more expected post 2023

YOUR CORRECT THE SU30 MKI with 270 planes is half the entire 550 front line combat capability of IAF

the rafale is the FORCE MULTIPLER or SILVER BULLET

THE MKI is the HAMMER

Rafale is MiG-29 size. Tejas is JF-17 size.
RAFALE is a size of f16 50 feet, Mig-29 is much longer than RAFALE, Mig-29 is a size of f18 and TEJAS is smaller than jf17

F-18 is counterpart of MiG-29. F-16 is built in much larger numbers.
Mig-29 comparable to both f16 and f18 and the reasons that f18 is not manufactured more that f16 selected light weight fighter for USAF and f18 is not
