A harami is someone whose actions are harami, nothing to do with his parents.

True, words can be used in different meaning. But my whole argument is based on the meaning which is commonly used. Every one knows and understand it's general meaning. Nevertheless, you will concur with me that this word shouldn't be used as it is considered as a derogatory and insulting remark and generally used in such terms.

Well, I have never chosen to use the word in that context. I have never taken that word to be meant in that context when used by another person.
I suppose the best way would be to use the full and accurate words, which are haramzada (your definition) or haramkhor (my definition) to avoid confusion.
I don't suppose you would have had too much of a problem if the OP had called diesel sahib a haramkhor, with his track record, so I'm glad that is sorted out.
