People are angry in Pakistan. Economic collapse after 2 decades of WoT has broken the back of the fatigued nation. Pakistan has always entertained a healthy population of angry young 'men' but not on a scale being realised now.

In utter desperation and confusion, people are targeting the only functional arm of the state in what can only be described as delirium.

Some are angry that Pakistan is not following up with India. Pakistan army as an institution is fighting a hybrid war imposed by circumstance and an opportune dushman.

If it was economic why would the public turn against Army post April ‘22? Are we saying Pakistanis are a confused bunch and realized economy was in deep trouble in April ‘22 and the anger at the military is misplaced?

Is the Pakistani public failing to see Army is doing a good job for Pakistan?

My take is Pakistanis always got it wrong and have realized for the first time the real cause and effect. They were always getting confused thinking cause was corrupt politicians and the effect was the army intervention.

Pakistan as a nation is reactive. We do not think proactively and yes we are asleep.
The army doesn't do its job that's why our borders are porous and smuggling is rife be it terrorists from Afghanistan or oil from Iran. The army is behind it and allows it. It thrives in entropy.

There is no organized establishment. It's just a vague term used to pin the blames.

This term was coined to name one and only one organisation that we all know about. This term was used so as not to upset the akaas of PA who didn’t want to be named as such directly.

Establishment is highly organised and controlled and not vague at all. If someone says so, then he is either doing bidding of the establishment or highly ignorant.

The funny thing is if these Gs come on IKs side the chorus of hate will be instantly transformed into the garlands of love and patriotism.
From my own personal experience staying abroad does not make one invincible and immune. The levers the state has are beyond your comprehension.
It's hard to stay civil for many as it is how they were politically groomed. But one can always articulately exercise one's differing views, it's not that hard.

I've been posting since 2004. This is the lowest situation I've ever seen. During my 20 years here we had many excellent posters Pakistani indian and from the USA. Unfortunately they all have left for various reasons but one common reason was people not respecting each others opinions. This has continued until today. I can see why it has become difficult for the webmaster and the administration to continue under these circumstances. Very unfortunate.
