Maroon Berets!

PAF's maroon berets squadron!? any body have any information - is this a SSG wing of the PAF or a 'elite' squadron for special ops?

Air Force Special Operations ? I would think they are like USAF CCTs.

Combat Controllers are trained special operations forces and certified FAA air traffic controllers. Their mission is to deploy, undetected, into combat and hostile environments to establish assault zones or airfields, while simultaneously conducting air traffic control, fire support, command and control, direct action, counter-terrorism, foreign internal defense, humanitarian assistance, and special reconnaissance.

They could also be Pararescue which is special operations too.

Its the SSW. They are based on the american Special Tactics Squadron and are an independent commando and special operation military division of the Pakistan Air Force (Elite all the way ). I have seen them with the FN-2000 and P-90 (which look awsome I might add).


But our SSG boys also wear those maroon berets so not a very distinctive name.

Generally trained for CSAR.. we want to get our boys out now instead of leaving them on their own.
