Marines issue: Italy may recall ambassador to India

Frankly this issue has turned into a clusterfück.

It is pretty clear that prosecuting these marines is not in our national interest as it would set a bad precedence of law which would come to bite us back, if our soldiers find themselves in same situation.

But a squealing state government combined with an attention whôre media and a Judiciary suffering from "God delusion" have made a respectable cop out impossible.

So? we send them second time because current government didnt have any objection.. By the looks of it, he is not going to come back.. The question is what will be the Modi's government reaction? Congress was able to get those marines back.. It was a diplomatic sucess to them..

Congress takes these trivial things as diplomatic victory ... Our relationship with EU states are highly valued & these popularity stunts by Khangress were very sickening. What we need is a closed door negotiation.

We should have made the Italians pay those 2 families Millions and millions of dollars. This could have been nipped. The current gov't at least has a plan of action more so than CONGRESS did for 57 years!

Its in out national interest, No country ever leave their citizen killers roam free, US never gets hands on its soldiers / Citizens even if they kill Indians/ Japanese/ Koreans etc.

Personally, he shouldn't be allowed to leave until the whole case is solved.

Well knowing our judiciary, it might take more years until the courts reach a decision.

And in the end, only the courts can decide what punishment they will receive, not the government.
