I do not know how many more cases are required for countries that are politically subjugated to the US that the US will buzz off quickly and eat all the security alliance assurances anytime it faces a real opponent.
US is a hardly trust-able ally. In fact, when the US cannot bite opponents (like in trade war), it usually turns and tries to bite allies.
I just can't wait for the day when Trump will do a MAGA on Japan and German auto exports.
