RAIPUR: Nearly 50 passengers travelling in a private bus had a miraculous escape on Tuesday when a blast triggered by Maoists missed the target near Mahrabada in Narayanpur district in tribal Bastar region of Chhattisgarh.

Four passengers were injured as they were hit by splinters following the explosion. The vehicle was also carrying 15 security personnel seated on top of the bus.

The private bus owned by Bastar Travels was on its way from Narayanpur to Orchha. Following the blast, rebels opened fire and the security personnel retaliated.

The rebels subsequently withdrew and fled in the forests. All the injured have been rushed to Narayanpur district hospital.

A senior official at police headquarter said that at times security forces travel in civilian buses to keep safe. He said that explosion wasn't very strong and it looked as if it was mainly threaten civilians against travelling with security forces. Rear part of bus was damaged in the incident.

On May 18, 2010, Maoists blew up a private vehicle killing 35 people- 24 civilians and 11 Special Police Officers - using a powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED).

Subsequently, the rebels apologized for the civilian casualities but warned security personnel not to board civilian vehicles.

Last month, Maoists hijacked a private bus and two other vehicles in Sukma district and later released all passengers without harming them in an apparent attempt to search whether any security personnel were traveling in these vehicles.

Transport service operators and taxi owners are caught between the devil and the deep sea, as carrying security personnel will invite the wrath of rebels and they can't refuse when policemen want to board their vehicles.

how is this a "private bus" when government soldiers are riding on it??

as even the maoists said...

the maoists are being murdered in plain sight and much of the indian people are busy in their colleges, jobs, dogs, consumer goods, various sufferings, marriages, religious pilgrimages... this is injustice, insanity...

by the way, why isn't nato supporting these rebels, while they supported the rebels in egypt, libya, syria, venezuela?? hypocrisy...

and as ever i say...

hum aah bhi karte hain
toh hote hain badnaam
woh khatl bhi karte hain
aur charcha nahi hota...

They are misguided peasants not separatists or religious fanatics addressing the socio-economic problem is the only remedy, they are our people we don't have to bomb them with laser guided bombs.

i agree with the second part of your statement but i will state that they are not misguided... they are among the most sensible people of india who decided to reject the injustices and madnesses here.

when you see 30 farmers in your village commit suicide in three months, you as a sensible person will question what insane system they have been given... and that questioning will lead to protest, and then to armed struggle.

i edited-in this in my earlier post just as you replied...

That is the main point why those farmers committed suicide?
that's bcz of failed policies, corny capitalism ,corrupt bureaucracy and uneven development of the country
exp:- green revolution

you know, this term, "crony capitalism", is really a disinfo and diversion by capitalists who want to portray that some new thing called "crony capitalism" is bad while capitalism itself is fantastic... capitalism is capitalism, and must be eradicated.

policies failed because india was created as a religious/capitalist nation, whose military existed not to protect some supremely sensible political system but just for nationalistic reasons.

what if agriculture policies here had been like of libyan jamahiriya...

1. any person wishing to do agriculture is given land, tractors, housing, tools, seeds... all for free.
2. water and electricity are free.
3. education system locally for free, with the system sponsoring a student's foreign education.
4. education of one's choice.
5. medical treatment for free.
6. socialist legal system, for free.
7. superb irrigation system.
8 any person in the farmer's family wishing to do business given 20,000 usa dollars as start-up fund.
9. any non-employed person given welfare by the system of 7000 dollars.
10. simple marriage, where the couple are given 60,000 dollars at wedding.
11. 5000 dollars at the birth of female child.
12. loans given without interest calculations.

living with such a system, why would anyone need to take to armed struggle??

and openly support anti national communist parties.

communism is what humanity should have... any other system must be rejected.

Bro are you serious you are comparing Libya with India , the suggestions you made is not possible in U.S and even in communist china and why do you admire that sexual predator Gaddafi whose body was showcased in a local departmental store by his own people.

Whether you like it or not capitalism is the best system ever created unfortunately not applicable in India but even now even Cuba is kicking communism out.

and why do you admire that sexual predator Gaddafi whose body was showcased in a local departmental store by his own people.

1. he is one of the best leaders and philosophers in history.

2. for your "sexual predator" remark, please read two posts from my discussion with levina in such direction here... ( Whatever | Page 3559 ) and ( Whatever | Page 3561 ).

3. how did ikhwaan/qaeda/taliban/hizb from other nations become "his own people"?? there certainly were some libyans involved in that war but those tens of thousands of terrorists/criminals who invaded libya were from every place that western militar/intel could transport from or arrange travel or train/arm... this is 2015... there were 35+ militaries of nato bombarding libya for months... hillary kill-in-tons came to tripoli in october 2011 after its fall... how can anyone forget this??

Whether you like it or not capitalism is the best system ever created unfortunately not applicable in India but even now even Cuba is kicking communism out.

cuba will never spit on the memory of che guevara... that is the finality... getting cell phones ( unfortunately ) into cuba doesn't mean adoption of capitalism... you should read fidel's reflections at the "granma" site... ( Granma International, English Edition )... it is the official news agency of cuba.

just today i read in the newspaper of a call by the chinese premier for prc to strengthen its socialist principles... many indian members keep telling me of china "being capitalist" or some such... this new declaration says otherwise.
