Maoist attack kill 13 Policemen

Thirteen policemen were killed and two others injured today when their vehicle was blown up by Maoists in the jungles of Bariganwa in Garhwa district of Jharkhand.

According to sources in Bhandaria police station, about 50 Maoists waiting for the police party triggered the blast around 11 AM.

"Thirteen policemen were killed and two policemen were injured in the blast," Director General of Police G S Rath said.

On December 3, Maoists had triggered landmine blast in Latehar, killing 10 policemen and a child.

Contrary to some claims, the Maoist fight is not over as they seem to strike at will... the sad fact is like Pakistan deploys it's FC, the Indian authorities seem to rely on CRPF for such operations. Until the regular army takes over such incidents are bound to occur often.
