Cant blame the common folks...shoddy media ...projecting apple pay as the enxt big thing, when its been there for ages with google wallet and verizon wallet.
The thing is apple has this image built up- it may be there, but we do it better. IIRC the first two iphones didnt have the ability to take videos.

He was not even directly involved with hardware and algorithm of apple pay. His patent was mostly about encryption of data being broadcast, not particular to NFC. Apple NFC patent was filed by 3 people 2 days ago, out of which 2 are Indians....
