Lessons Learned In India

It is not a Nazi Swastika.

This symbol also appears in Buddhism. How I tell the difference, is that the Buddhist symbol goes anti-clockwise (to the left).

Whereas the Nazi Swastika, usually goes clockwise (to the right).

Not really. Even though it is what is usually said, swastikas have a history of being used in both clockwise as well as in the anti-clockwise fashion. Nothing there particularly to distinguish between the swastika of the Nazis & that which is commonly used.

Maybe you're right. I got that impression because all the Buddhist symbols I have seen are usually anti-clockwise.

Sir,

I work in Mumbai, her reference to Hitler everywhere is definitely because of the new TV serial Hitler Didi on Zee TV, of which promotional ads are plastered liberally in Mumbai - on billboards, local trains, buses, etc etc.

In India, Hitler is a commonly used label for any strict parent, teacher, disciplinarian or authoritarian.

"500 rupees!” the seller yelled with a hungry accent.

“100 rupees!” I quacked back, receiving a humiliating laugh from my opponent.

“475.”

“470?!”

“…. Alright.”

SUCCESS."

That is not a good bargain/success at all........

Being an Indian....I know for sure that the price could have been brought down within 200-250 rupees.....even less, depending on your bargaining skills.

The street vendors charge exceptionally high price at first because they know that people will bargain like hell.

She did not get a good deal. During my visit to Delhi, my friend took me to a street market. A particular fake leather jacket caught my eye. The vendor quoted a price of 1400 rupees for it. I thought it was a good deal and proceeded to pay him. My friend quickly intervened and brought the price down to 300.

Use your imagination to figure out my expression after.

i m listening this only from u.its related to swastika sign
No! he is actually almost correct.......
people give the nick-name Hitler to anyone(parents, teachers, boss etc.) who is very strict and disciplinary(but NOT rude)........therefore, it is not meant to be disrespectful to the nick holders.
