What's new

Laptop production takes off in Bangladesh today

What are the technical details?

Any idea?

Notwithstanding, it is great start to even produce 200.

The manufacture will pick up as demand increases.

Seems they have made it a taboo
as no details are there what so ever.

Other then the wi-fi logo after seeing the
picture, I'm blank. Apparently its a great news
that the motherboards will be produced localy
along with 60% other parts.

production center of DOEL in Tongi

Thanks Bangla Fighter for the pics...looks great from here!

However, i was wondering as the production capacity will be quite high...soon after meeting the local demands, these should be readied for International markets. Being cheap and only if the configuration is standard enough, Doel can be a good product for export. Could also open us up another new sector for development and investment.

Any suggestion to where might these be exported?

Cheers!!!

Additionally, i propose these laptops to be delivered to the schools in rural/village areas in Bangladesh. That comes in local consumption though.

If this is done, we can gradually computer-literate the poor students who do not access to these things. We have always give vital importance to our education sector and therefore, this can be boost towards that achievement.

Its local production and so it is in our hands...can be easily done and will have good impact if initiatives taken.

Cheers!!!

after fulfilling local demands we can export them to African nations ... ex:Liberia. All we need is quality.. That has to be maintained, otherwise the whole program will be a big flop.
