tamils are very viral about sri lanka sinhalese IINM. but taking it on tourists/pilgrims shows the immature attitude these brainwashed radicals have.
leaders like vaiko, tamil director seeman and his "naam tamizhar iyakkam" ..such groups are glowing the anger of tamils on the ethnic cleansing happened on lanka during LTTE operations.

rest of India does not share such a feeling generally.

As i reiterate from my last post, those so-called "genocide" charges are just political games being played; i wouldnt be surprised if indian lobbies throughout the world has some role in that number too

truth is, LTTE haunted SL for over a quarter-century...therefore I support 100% Sri Lanka's right to defend themselves. You don't seem too vocal in condemning the militant tamil fighters; you seem to be brushing off their crimes against the whole country and ---treason!

According to your logic the Serbs were also not doing any ethnic cleansing of Muslims during the Balkan War. They were merely' eradicating militants who were armed and fighting the state' even if that involve shelling, sniping & shooting unarmed men, women & children. Then I don't understand why Muslims in general and Pakistanis in particular gets so emotional about Balkan wars afterall it was just a case if state defending against militants/separatists.

Indians don't like the LTTE either.That's restricted to some factions in TN. Those guys killed our PM. I agree with the point that the Sri Lankan army was defending themselves against the Tamil Tigers. What's gotten everyone's goat is the treatment of the Tamil civilians. But that should not have been vented out on the pilgrims.The guys who attacked the pilgrims are just as bad as the people they are protesting against.

I think the Srilankans wishing to visit TN should first visit North & East SL(Tamil Areas). If they find them welcoming there, they can proceed to TN. They can gauge the Tamil reaction in TN by visiting their own Tamil areas.

Are you condoning this attack? What does a regular Sri Lankan have to do with what the army is doing or how the minorities are suffering?
