ISLAMABAD: Lal Masjid Khateeb Maulana Abdul Aziz has been removed and his entry banned in mosque for three months.

The capital administration has removed the khateeb of Lal Masjid and imposed a three-month ban on the entry of former khateeb Maulana Abdul Aziz in the mosque.

The decision was taken after a meeting between Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqaat and Ulema, including Mufti Raees Ayubi from Azad Kashmir and Qazi Nisar from Gilgit-Baltistan.

Former administration of Jamia Hafsa, including Maulana Abdul Aziz’s wife Umme Hassam, along with 80 students came to Lal Masjid after a plot allotted to the seminary was cancelled.

Oooh yes, you pointed out in the right direction. I agree. this is done by a Deputy commissioner which is kind of weird because I think such matters should be handled by higher authorities in the state as such actions can have repercussions. It can also help Fazlu and the opposition so the govt needs to be vigilant about rats in the bureaucracy.

How can a DC decide based on a meeting with random scholar from GB? What is the sect and motive of this DC ? Is he trying to create some sectarian issue?

Musharraf mishandled. He should have used IBOs to deal with it but as far as I know his intentions were not pure and he wanted to sell himself as an indispensable tool to the powers controlling him.

There are issues regarding land of Lal Masjid and madrassa that's why DC Islamabad issues order and there is some case in Court also by Molana Amir and court issue order in favor of them that's the reason
