Can you instead please express that warmth to Pakistan via legal, institutional and treaty relationship with our country. Here think how wealthy Western European countries like Germany, France etc create legal treaty platforms like EU that help the poor Eastern European countries through mandatory grants, preferantial trade and labour migration. This has helped to lift Eastern Europe from depths of poverty.

In return those countries are of course obligated to give preferance to other members states and via membership of NATO provide mutual military protection.

The deferred oil payment is a 3 year Package of 9.6 billion USD, which come to 3.2 billion per year, as per the agreement.

Graph below shows fund transfer by wealthy EU countries to Eastern European countries. Poland alone recieves nearly $10 billion every year. Since Poland's population is undr 40 million or 5 times less then Pakistan ~ this is equivalent of Pakistan every year recieving automatically [mandatory] grants of $50 billion. Think about that. $50 billion every year as matter of right. Not as master to begger.

Don't forget in addition to this Poles get preferantial trade and labour migration rights ~ UK has literally been flooded by millions of Poles. Ask other British-Pak members and they will tell you. As soon as Poland signed the treaty of accession in 2004 the floodgates opened.

What is the premise of this. Not much. Many of these very countries were considered as enemies when I was a young man. Million armed men stood on the Iron Curtain to wipe each other out. Yet to day billions are being soent to help these poor Eastern euros stand on their feet. Just because they are white, Christian fellow Europeans.

Can we not have something like this with GCC? A common economic area with military union also?

The truth is I cannot stand any mullah, east or west, shia or sunni, tall or short, fat or skinny. I regard them all as profiteers of religion. They use religion to gather power and money. This extends particularly to the Iranian mullahs. My idea is Kemal Ataturk and secularism. The Iranian mullahs are the antithesis to Kemalism. But all this is beyond the comprension of these guys.

As regards men who have studied religion I quite respect Javed Ghamidi.

Agree with it, Pakistanis in general are bad marketeers, average strategists, if there is another country with the geo strategic location of Pakistan, the good demographics, the huge agrarian, mineral and other potential, Pakistan would have been a developed country by now...in the same league as Malaysia or better still in a higher rank...

Sir my understanding is we have to start payment of it after 3 years but until our more knowledge able friend who involved in such explain better like @ps3linux but definitely its much required breathing space we needed so most at the time Allah ka shukur hai

@zulu yaar you know I m not too well these days thats why I post off and on, saudi package is a loan and we will have to pay it back, means more burden to already screwed foreign debt problem, moreover the future cost of this package cannon fodder to yemen war or Arab - Iran war, that is what really is the crux, before IK we were having problems in our relations with saudis because earlier MNS rather took the matter of sending our forces for saudi-yemen conflict and everyone knows what happened. We as pakistanis have a mixed population we cannot afford to become part of anyones war both arabs and Iranian have already seeded enough hatred and divide in our society for the last 40 year thanks to zia and his minions.
