Pakistan is for Pakistanis.
Ethnicities included : Sindhis, Punjabis, Pashtuns, Urdu Speaking, Hazara, Baluch, Kashmiri, Chitrali, Kailash, Gilgit-Baltistan peoples and maybe 1 or 2 more ethnicities I forgot.
Afghans not included. They have their own damn country, let them go and live there.

Imported or not, the most important thing is that the imam should be an educated, sane man who holds respect for the community and the country. We do not want politically charged and/or extremist imams. Now if this Afghan imam was a good man (if it can ever be verified) then I see no problem with him staying.

I support the deportation of most Afghans, for I believe them to be rotten. However if some (especially the youth) are willing to integrate into Pakistan + are not radicalised then I see no reason to disrupt their normal lives and send them to a war-torn country where their futures are bleak.

Imam can be any one, even i have some times led prayers, you dont have to be a degree holder or poor/rich (infact when we mention word Aalim/maulana who usually are imam , they are educated as they can read and write).......it shouldnt be a caste as is the case in pakistan.....
You are british from urban background so perhaps thats you wont be bothered about background and identity of imam, but here in our rural set up, mullah is a a known person with full background history. There are no Afghan imams in my area, so i assume they are in urban centers of KPK.

Pakistan is for Muslims of India. Afghanistan not included. Even in that time Afghanistan was it's own separate country.

I don't like the idea of insulting and maligning humans for an act that was never in their own control, no one wants to be an Afghani, Pakistani or Indian when he is born this insane rule must end and every peaceful human should be allowed to live where ever he/she wants to live only on the condition that he's not damaging others.

The Hindi muslims were like those from UP, Bihar, Hyderabad, Bengal, Punjab , Sindh, Kashmir etc.........Pashtuns/Afghans and Balochs were not Hindi/Indic muslims so how they ended up in Pakistan if it was for Hindi muslims?.... and if it was/is for Hindi musalman, why doors for citizenship are not opened for 20 crore muslims of india?

Keep in mind that "A" in Pakistan stands for Afghania so unintentionally it is partly Afghanic which is synonymous to Pashtunic. So Pakistan is not a country of just Indian muslims , only two of its provinces can be called "indic" whose people themselves are running away from "Hindi" tag

That being said the "Bar Afghans" have their own country Afghanistan, Pakistan is not their country, it can never be their country but they have strong ties with Pashtun portion of Pakistan which can not be severed.

And anyways, I just read an article last week on how the people living in KPK were now totally fed up with the Afghans in their country post-16/12. How people turned from neighbors to enemies and how much Pashtuns in small towns of KPK despise Afghans because of their illegal businesses taking over small legal businessmen of KPK (Pakistani).

Can you provide the link of that article?. I dont know why suddenly Afghans are getting harassed and blamed by government across the province and country after APS attack, TTP are pakistanis mostly from FATA and Malakand division. Yes their illegal citizenships should be cancelled and and ones involved in some crime, should be arrested but harassing all of them and violating their human rights , is shameful and pathetic.

I can't find the link to it anymore. One was on Dawn and the other on BBC I think.
And the harassment is done because these people instead of informing police give shelter to the terrorists.
The reason all Afghan refugees are being evacuated is because their camps are hotbeds of terrorist activity.
And now that there country has a functional Government and is getting support from India and Pakistan, the refugees ought to go back now.

Punjabis were "musalman-e-hind before 1947

Word Hindko/hindki, derived from hindi, was coined by pashtuns for Punjabis and similar people.....

In history, Pashtuns referred to their country as Roh (This is obsolete term now) and hind was the country beyond river Indus which included Punjab.

Just like pashtuns in east side of hindu kush were hindi musalman before 47. Anyway i was reading British gazzeter and they differentiated between us and hindustanis. In fact only region of British punjab where they found hindu custom/culture similar to hindustanis was Kangra.

Thats true , British authors usually used term "hindustani" for people of Delhi , UP etc where Hindi/urdu was spoken........But broadly speaking, punjabis and sindhis were included in Hindi/indian catagory by locals as well as farangis.....

For Pashtuns , country beyond river indus was Hind/Hindostan...........Babur also enters into Hind when he crosses river indus to invade punjab and sher shah suri didnt proceed beyond attock as it was the boundary of india since times of delhi sultanates. Present day KPK and FATA were administered from Kabul by mughals, not lahore.
