Kashmiris never/rarely face Western racism. West cares for and respects Kashmiris. For instance US intends to ensure the return of Kashmiri Pandits to the valley. It is because racist Westerners regard Kashmiris as of their own race. Infact I have inferred that - even without this knowledge about racial link - Kashmiris also would feel more comfortable with Westerners in matters of individual behavior and human nature than with Indians or Pakistanis.

But this rule of Kashmiri-West camaraderie doesn’t hold in certain conditions. The excellent relation between the communities of Kashmiris and Westerners would change for bad in some particular circumstances.

That scenario is of Kashmiris taking the side of Indians in any Indo West conflict. For instance suppose if any Western country colonizes India for the purpose of imperial rule and if Kashmiris decide to support India’s independence, it would not be to the liking of West. For another example imagine three scientists of Indian, Kashmiri and Western ethnicities involved in joint research. In the event of Indian scientist achieving something substantial and the racist Westerner claiming credit for it, if the Kashmiri stands by the truth, it will infuriate the racists.

Racist white’s policy is, “If you refuse the racist demands to harm a non-white person you cease to be a white.” In such situation West will turn against Kashmiris. Kashmiris will lose the favour of Westerners in such state of affairs.
