"Bangladesh’s export shipments in nine months of the current fiscal year have risen by 12.57% to $30.90 billion, riding on the apparel sector bolstered by improved safety standards and political stability. "

"The export earnings are 7.20% higher than the target of $28.82 billion set for the period"

13% higher than this period last year and 7.2% higher than the target.

Please tell us the secret, our economy is completely fu@ked up.
England has reached its economic pinnacle many decades ago. It invented steam-powered engines two centuries ago that pulled not only its trains but also propelled its industrial machines in those days, especially the textile machines. Even France smuggled a few steam engines to its shore over the English Channel and reverse-engineered to build its own steam engines. Think of electricity as well.

England is the cradle of the machine-based modern economy of the world. It remains the 5th largest economy and it has reached its peak after the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd industrial revolutions, and today it is a full consumer society. It is time that England moves towards the 4th revolution. This is what Japan is already researching about.

On the other hand, Bangladesh has not developed any machine. Its export relies on textiles and garments and nothing else. It is doing fine now because its products have international acceptance. However, so far it has failed to move to other sectors except for cement industries.

BD cannot be compared with England. BD has not yet developed even its Primary industries, let alone the Secondary and Tertiary industries.
