Judiciary most corrupt: TIB

Arrest warrants against top TIB executives
Sun, Dec 26th, 2010 1:43 pm BdST

Comilla, Dec 26 — A Comilla court has issued arrest warrants against the TIB chairman, director and a fellow for 'maligning' the judiciary in its household survey report.

Mohammad Tawhidur Rahman, a lawyer, filed the case with the Comilla Senior Judicial Magistrate's Court on Sunday.

The court of magistrate Gazi Saidur Rahman took the case into cognisence and issued arrest warrants against TIB trustee board chairman M Hafiz Uddin, executive director Iftekharuzzaman and fellow Wahid Alam of the Transparency International, Bangladesh, a Berlin-based international corruption watchdog.

The case statement said the TIB report had tarnished the image, honor and reputation of the judiciary by naming it as the most corrupt service sector.

The plaintiff sought actions against the defendants claiming that the report had maligned his professional career. :blah::blah:

This arrest order by a court of law shows how incompetent our judiciary is. How it is possible to give such an order only because someone has filed a case sagainst someone else? Judicial system seems to be as bad our Police system.

BD judicial system, corrupt or not corrupt, is living in the 15th Century. It must be revamped by incorporating methods that are already in effect in the western countries.

Anyways, we all have different opinions and views as I disagree with many people in this forum, but you can't disagree between black and white. On the contrary, I would love to see an Indian Hindu side with a BNP/nationalist/anything which is not awami league for once without making bigotry statements.

There's no black and white but all kind of shades of gray.

What's the significance of being born a Hindu or Muslim in geo-politic? Why do you think a Muslim from Kerala or Rajastan has any different view of BD than that of Hindu from same states? Why would an Indian support BNP when every acts of them are anti-India rather than pro-BD.

As far as not agreeing to AL is concerned, there's a thread about transport charge on Indian transit. Go check it and you'll find many Indians opposing AL's move including this Indian.
