JF-17 Fighter: China's Weird MiG-21 and F-16 Hybrid

The 42 degree wing is quite izdale 33 style.

Those very best MIG OKB engineers chosen their new home.

But Air intake going below make it a totally different bird than JF-17

izdale 33 has more in common with F-16 than JF-17

Aerodynamically JF-17 is better than both

Mig 33 is totally different thing than jf-17 th difference between mig33 and jf17 is to much. Both jets have totally different aero dynamic properties. F-35 is totally based on jf17. Put a bigger engine into jf17 and take all weapons in internal bay and you get. F-35. F-22 was the only jet at that time which was using the intake system used by jf17.

:O

but, but.....:suicide2:

Well..
Consult an eye specialist.
And your eyes r doing fine then go to some one who could fix your brain(if there is anything)
Forget it friend, he is a troll who has nothing better to do. I will even pay for his university education if he wants to put his mind to better use.

I have some even better, the JF-17 PT01 itself with "Super-7" painted on its side.

and another with the Pakistani flag instead of the Chinese,

And then of the Maiden flight of the first prototype with Super 7 written on the tail,

And then of the same aircraft landing,

Even these pictures wont be enough. Do I also need to post pictorial proof of the SABRE II project's evolution in to the Super-7 and then its iterative evolution into the JF-17? Because i can. The official Grumman documents detailing the evolution from the Project SABRE II design to the early Super 7 design are readily available online.

If only you knew what that meant.
You do know that super 7 was first shelved in late 1980s
Than in mid to late1990s Chinese invited Pakistan for new design project that was incidentally also named super 7

The concept wasnt to improve the mig21 but ti build something new ...somewhat minor mig21 improvement did ended up as PG while major change was the j-8

What @ziaulislam and some others have mentioned, the original Super 7 project was shelved and the new design effort that was initiated in the late 90s and led to JF-17 just inherited the project name. There are many references to this such as the article below from Combat Aircraft.

I agree; the nomenclature confusion is the root cause of various hypothesis.

Question - are another 20 in the pipeline for delivery this year? I assume still Blk2. Any thoughts when 17B's will be brought online.

MiG-21 is an excellent plane. The world's first Mach 2 fighter jet. I'd take a MiG-21 over an F-16 any day. Put an AESA in it, and it's spectacular.

Please present facts with references. I've learnt from this thread not to respond to fanciful posts with 'facts' that no one backs up with evidence.
