What's new

JF-17 B receives buy orders even before the maiden flight.

That foreign customer is probably Pakistan, a partner in the program, so technically this should not be regarded as a sale.
Foreign customer is not Pakistan and it is someone else. I read it somewhere that who is that but let official announcement come and we all will see that. I also read it some where which i don't remember where that they may equip with Italian goodies as well as per requirement of a customer.

@danger007 , Thunder was evaluated extensively by some countries, like Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and quiet a few African countries. They were just waiting for the arrival of dual seated version to further training and evaluation. Arrival of B version has made it more attractive package altogether.

Saudi Arabia looks for rich platforms for sure.. A variant

is different from B.. there are structural changes... I am not sure who will place order before it maiden first flight... not mobile right, to place pre order...

That means someone who has a good understanding of the JF17 in production.

Angoor Khattay hain Beta?

It's ok, am not the one who is trolling... just raised point... If you wanna say AF placed orders before first flight.. it's upto you... :coffee::coffee:

hmm production??? evaluation is different from production.. am not talking about blk1,2,3 but B variant... which is different from the rest... leave about weapon package aside..

But it can be not just good trainer, also a good SEAD/DEAD, CAS, EW bird in today's world second seat allow control of UAV/UCAV too.

Yeah, why not make it an airborne refueler, and a super sonic transporter, and airborne laser BMD intercepter as well? Its a two seat variant, for better flight training for in-ept non-conversion paradigm air forces.
